Plan

For my first shoot I will need food and my camera. 

Hope to achieve

For my first personal shoot I am going to take pictures of food, which is what I have chosen to do for my project. I am going to take pictures of different food. And what I mainly aim to do is get pictures of the process of making food, so cooking and preparation, maybe to use in a sequence. 

What I achieved

From my shoot, I didn’t actually get many decent pictures that I liked. I think this was mainly due to the fact I didn’t use a studio and had poor lighting, also I didn’t plan for it as well as I could have done. However, from my shoot I managed to gain a lot of ideas that I can use in future shoots, so this has helped me. 

From my shoot I had a few pictures of a grapefruit, close up and not close up, and different angles etc. I didn’t really like these pictures and didn’t plan to use them, but now I thought to put them into a multiple imagery picture, and I actually really like this.

Idea development 

For my next personal project I will use the studio, as it will be much easier to get good quality pictures with a decent lighting and background etc. Also I will make sure I plan what I’m going to do to avoid getting not many or bad pictures. 

First shoot's picture.

This is a picture I took on my first shoot, right at the start of my personal project of food.

Although I didn't put much thought into this photograph and it's quite blurry and unfocused, it's led me to progress this idea further with other shoots and develop the idea, so this picture was quite a useful aspect to my project.
